Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
- 12 prosciutto slices
- A bundle of 12 asparagus
Dipping sauce
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) sweet chilli sauce
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) soy sauce
- 2 ml fresh ginger, grated
- 1 ml wasabi paste (optional)
- Micro-herbs, to garnish
Method
- To make the prosciutto wrapped asparagus: Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly line a baking tray with baking paper. Loosely wrap a prosciutto slice around the centre of each asparagus.
- Wrap the edges of each asparagus with foil and place the prosciutto ‘parcels’ on the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 12 minutes until the prosciutto is cooked and crispy.
- Remove the parcels from the oven, take off the foil and discard the foil pieces.
- Place the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus on a serving platter.
- To make the dipping sauce: Mix the ingredients together and pour the mixture into a small serving bowl. Serve with the asparagus and garnish with micro-herbs.
